Learn the Rules Of Filmmaking & Continuity And The Craft of The Script Supervisor In Feature Films & Television. This Course Is Comprised Of Five Basic Sections: Theory & Rules of Filmmaking & Continuity, Pre-Production, Production, Digital Script Supervising Intro, New Technologies, Deal Making & Finding Work. Registration For One Or All Four Of These Sections Is Available. However, It Is Strongly Recommended That They Are Taken In Sequential Order As Listed.

The Craft Of the Script Supervisor - Part 2 Advanced Beginners to Intermediate Level
2 Day Workshops - Weekday & Weekend Schedules Available
This Workshop Continues The Work In The Beginning Script Supervising Workshop - Part 1. It is structured so that it follows Part 1 immediately in the schedule so that anyone in Part 1 can continue into Part 2. Once You Complete The Beginning Course, You Can Continue With Additional Work on More Complex Blocking Techniques and Continuity, More Complex Scene Study and Hands-on Camera Work Incorporated Into The Scene Study And Blocking.
It Is Also Designed For Those Script Supervisors With Previous Experience Or Previous Training Who Would Like to Learn The Above Information on Blocking Strategies. Guest Speakers Are Often Brought In To Address The Questions And Concerns Of The Members Of A Workshop. Guest Speakers Have Recently Discussed Such Subjects As: Digital Scripting, How Shooting With Various Formats Affects Our Work, Scripting Reality TV And/Or Documentary Style Filmmaking' scripting web series, TV episodic.

Commercials And Feature Films. They discuss their equipment, their
experiences with demonstrations. "Q & A" follows panel discussion.

Once you register and pay in full
for all the courses of your choice, you can take the workshops "back to
back" or you can choose to take the individual workshops over the course
of a full year. The time period to complete the workshops begins from the date
of your first workshop and ends a year from that date.
Additionally, once you have completed any of the
courses offered at cinema workshops you may "sit-in" (for review) on
a number of sessions for no additional fee. If you choose to sit in
on the entire schedule of a the beginning script supervising workshop, there
will be a charge for any updated workbooks which have been created since you
were in the workshops.
*Please Note: the Intermediate/Advanced Script class is the
only class not included in the above offer to attend one or two classes, free,
for review. It's structure, contents/subjects covered, etc., change
throughout the year. Guest speakers are often invited in to speak about
subjects pertinent to the "working" script supervisor or script
supervisor that wants to continue increasing their knowledge. If you
choose to retake the advanced class there will be a minimal charge of $50.00
for the class plus the workbook costs.
IN
ADDITION
Referrals to film projects will be an ongoing process
once you have graduated from the course studies. Also, you will be on a list of
referrals for script supervisors for non-union projects. CINEMA WORKSHOPS actively
refers you to producers, etc., who email, call for this position.
Consultation is available with the instructor, before
and after your first filmmaking project. It is strongly suggested that after
your first projects you spend a consultation hour with the instructor going
over your first experiences, notes, etc.
This extra session, after you graduate, provides
you with an opportunity
to go over your script supervising skills and review and ask questions that may
have occurred during the filmmaking process.
